We made a ton of amazing memories Grasping the Adventure together this winter and as much as it saddens us to end the hiking season, it is only the beginning of everything else that we have planned for you! In the meantime though, we want to stay connected, so how about we share some of our funniest, craziest, saddest, most dramatic, scariest or happiest moments of this season?

This past season on Grasping at Straws was an absolute blast. There are so many great moments that I loved, that it's tough to narrow it down to only one. My favorite moment has to be when I was able to overcome my biggest challenge, which was to make a living online. That was a moment that I will never forget. It was a huge learning experience, and a great example of the sort of advice that comes from our Grasping mentors.

Choosing a moment will not do justice as joining GTA hikes is all about making so many great moments!
First and foremost, meeting like-minded people (weirdos like me!), being yourself (or actually even worse than your usual self; sweaty, exhausted…etc.) YET being fresh, happy and most importantly knowing that you’re not being judged!
I am so into psychology and hearing the other people’ stories was one of my favorite moments! It is essential to build those great friendships.
Nagging on Yousuf and George to get our food earlieeeer
And the list goes on and on…
I would suggest for the next season to make the morning hikes start in early mornings epically on hot days (by chatting to different people, a lot of us are willing to leave sunrise time)
Being more strict about the leaving time :p
I have many ideas and will share to Yousuf later SURPRISE!
Love you all!

Joining Grasp The Adventure was definitely the best decision I took in 2020. Tbh when I first thought of joining, I thought I'd only go once or twice and that's it, but I ended up joining almost all the hikes of this season. It wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for the amazing and supportive GTA team and their fun spirit. They're not just friends, they're more like family now. I've had so many awesome memories with GTA - it's hard to pick just one favorite moment, but sliding into that water pool in Wadi Shawka was definitely one the coolest and most refreshing moments in my life! I can't wait for next season's adventures!! I'm already missing hitting the mountains and GTA's mouthwatering BBQ! - Speaking of BBQ, finally getting my burger after the hike must be one of my favorite grasping moments!😜
I remember when I first joined the hikes, things were already so fun, from the moment we start our strange warm up moves :) for the hike, till the moment we end the hike with mixed feelings of joy/achievement/tears/brother-sisterhood/connection with other people and nature, that we wouldn't have had outside the hikes in a very short period of time. The hike is always full of people who are trying to push you, or just happy to stay with you if you are a bit behind. The sense of responsibility and the caring, and that everyone is gonna make it today and everyone is invited, is just so personal and touching that really differentiates GTA from any other hiking experience. I just love you guys :)
As someone who was a first-time hiker this season, I did have some moments of fear or overthinking that I wouldn’t make it to the end - especially having gone on a trail that wasn’t the easiest! but the people definitely made it easier. Everyone is so considerate and fun and helpful! So some of the best moments came due to the people around and the music played on the speakers to keep us goin 💛
